In the below promotional photo, I am on the top row third from the left -- next to the guy with the glasses. He was the lead guitar player. Dick Clark liked us because we were a white band playing a lot of soul music as this is what was hitting back then. We played a number of shows on Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars in Monroe, Louisiana. That is how we met Dick Clark. I have a scan of his autograph that he gave me on the back of our business cards.

Bob Burns Recalls The Bare Facts
As I remember we did two Happening shows. These show were actually battle of the bands-type of shows. We won the first battle (against The Buster Brown Rhythm and Blues Band) and lost the second.
I don't believe that I did any singing on Happening even though I was the lead singer and sang on all our recordings. I wrote 'Watch Your Step' (backed with 'Over & Over', Hot Line 907). It was about my girlfriend after we had broken up. And believe it or not we got back to gether after around 35 years. We only put out one record before the band split.

The bass player singing on Happening is Mike May. The drummer is Curtis Robertson. The lead guitar man is Wayne Knippers. The two horn player are Jerry Blake and David Baldridge, and I was the keyboard player.
