Blue Grass
Our Group was called Blue Grass and we played a lot of Motown songs like 'Knock On Wood,' 'Heat Wave,' 'I Can't Help Myself' and 'Snoopy.' I played with Bobby Rodriguez, Charlie Alden, Herb Eimerman, Ray Spore, and I knew Dori Catatonia pretty well, who played with Hot Mama Silver and The Bullet Spike Band.

I knew and played with Charlie Alden and Ken Chrzanowski, the drummer, a couple years earlier when we were The Gremlins. I was just filling in that night for someone who didn’t know if they could make it. The Gremlins was formed around 1964 to 1966 and had Charlie Alden (bass), Bobby Rodriguez (lead guitar), Gerald Lambert (guitar), Ray Spoor and Ken Chrzanowski (drums). Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of The Gremlins, but a lot of the members that were with us went on to other bands and were very successful at it. Some of the other groups that they played for include The Bryds, Outspoken Blues, Colors of Autumn, Bullet Spike Band and others.

The Colors of Autumn Band was playing at the same time The Blue Grass band was, which was around 1966 or 1967.  The members of The Blue Grass band were Gary Rosenburg (organ), Herb Eimerman (bass), Gerald Lambert (lead guitar), Johnny Gray (lead vocals) and Ken Chrzanowski (drums). After Blue Grass broke up, because I was going to get drafted so I went to college and performed with The New Freedom Singers and other folk groups, and in talent shows.
