During our research, we sometimes come across footage of 1960's rock and garage bands in the most unusual places. It's often times frustrating since the footage is mostly used as background filler in documentaries or other non-music presentations, and most of the time the group shown is not identified. Sometimes, however, we get lucky; due to either facial recognition or, more fortunate, a clear shot of the drum head, we're able to ID a group.
We'll feature some of our more exciting discoveries here. It's important to note that since the group most likely wasn't expecting to be filmed, they've either completely forgotten about the film, or assumed they'd never see it again.
We've got more reels of forgotten films that feature rock groups of the era, and we'll occassionally post stills here in the hope that somebody can help identify a band.
